Grant McMurtrie

General Manager Exploration

Mr McMurtrie has 25 years of experience in geoscience and managerial roles, mostly at BHP and Shell. He has led the execution of the oil and gas exploration work programs across most Australian Basins, including operations, seismic acquisition, seabed coring, airborne surveys and drilling wells. His broad geoscience skillset is complimented by expertise in play-based exploration, remote sensing, new ventures and exploration portfolio management.

Hugo Beldame

Geophysicist

Mr Beldame holds a petroleum engineering degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Géologie (ENSG), with a major in exploration of natural resources from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

During his studies, Hugo worked with in demand hydrogen researcher, Dr. Isabelle Moretti, on the radiolytic generation of natural hydrogen around high-grade uranium deposits of the Athabasca Basin.

Hugo has worked as a geoscientist at 45-8 Energy exploring for helium and natural hydrogen, with specific experience in research and development of the H2NA project.

Hugo is now exploring for helium and natural hydrogen in Australia with 2H Resources.

We have access to geoscientists and partners with world leading knowledge and experience in the location and exploitation of naturally occurring Hydrogen and Helium.

We are developing relationships with engineering and commercial partners who can provide the technology to produce, transport and sell Hydrogen produced from underground reservoirs.

The location and appraisal of commercially significant deposits of Natural Hydrogen and associated Helium requires many of the same skills as the search for hydrocarbons and we are facilitating the transfer of those skills to the new hydrogen economy.

OUR PARTNERS

2H Resources has partnered with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) for a project called “Baseline study for natural hydrogen flow – long term deployment of autonomous monitoring instruments to detect natural hydrogen and other gases in soil.”

As part of this study, 2H Resources will have access to autonomous soil gas sensors developed by the CSIRO, which will measure the flow of hydrogen and other gases in the soil. The sensors are part of the experimental exploration workflow developed by 2H Resources to high grade areas prospective for natural hydrogen and accelerate the positioning of future dedicated natural hydrogen exploration wells...

2H Resources was founding member of NH2A.

It aims to be the first resource for individuals and corporations who seek information on the occurrence, exploration for and development of natural hydrogen in Australia.
